Vidya Mandir Ind. PU College came into being in the year 2001 with a modest strength of hundred students and nine lecturers. Initially, two options were offered in the Science stream- PCMB and PCMC. Subsequently, the Commerce stream was included. PCME in science stream was introduced, after witnessing a surge in the demand for the same.
Currently, we have around one thousand six hundred students. Since its inception, the institution has progressed by leaps and bounds, carving a niche for itself in the education scenario of Bangalore. The growth of our institution has been phenomenal with respect to infrastructure and academic excellence. The excellent results achieved year after year in the P.U Board exams speak volumes about the high standards of coaching imparted.
The institution strongly believes that providing value based education is essential to churn out students of high morality. Hence discipline and moral values form the foundation for the way of working and teaching in the institution.

The dream of establishing a college for imparting quality education, cherished by our Secretary, Mrs. N.Leelavathi, materialized in the year 2001 when Vidya Mandir Ind. PU College was established. The institution has attained its present glory and has continued to thrive under the stewardship of Mrs. N.Leelavathi.
A visionary, dynamic and inspiring personality, she is an epitome of strength and fortitude and is definitely worthy of emulation. Undaunted by challenges and impediments, forging ahead with determination, she has taken the institution to great heights. With her motherly care, she has kept each member of the institution driven and motivated. Aided by her unique style of getting the best out of the staff and the students, the institution founded by her is today a prestigious one, a name to reckon with. Her unswerving faith in God is the corner stone of her success in all her endeavours.

Vidya Mandir Ind. P.U College is an offshoot of Sri Vidya Mandir Education Society, a child that has made the parent proud. Needless to say , the priority given for value based holistic education stands the same for our P.U college as well. Here, we believe in being the flag bearers of Indian culture and wish to sow the seeds of values and ethics for the well- being of the posterity. Our mission is to create socially responsible citizens who will be an asset to the country.
The idea of starting a PU College emerged as a result of our sense of responsibility for our school students. We wanted to help them continue their PU education seamlessly. We established the PU College in 2001 and have made a name as one of the best in the city. Students from Vidya Mandir School and many from other reputed schools in the city have made Vidya Mandir PU College, their Alma Mater.
The teaching methodology adopted by our staff is state-of-the-art and it enables the students to develop an interest in academics. Here in Vidya Mandir, we understand our responsibility in shaping the future citizens of India and hence each member goes beyond the text book and imparts life lessons. We are committed to grooming our students and helping them build a well rounded personality.
My dream to make Vidya Mandir an ideal educational institution is being steadily fulfilled by my beloved staff members. I wish them all the best.

Vidya Mandir, the brainchild of our Founder, late N LEELAVATHI was started fifty years ago with the aim of providing value based holistic education. She was a visionary and she painstakingly paved the path for the institution and built it to its present glorious state.
This institution has been built brick by brick by the eminent Committee members, many efficient government agencies, our committed teachers, the supportive parents of our students and most importantly our beloved students. After accompanying us on this journey for fifty years and after ensuring that we were on the right track, our beloved Founder departed for her heavenly abode. The journey of visionaries never end, and here we are, treading on the path , guided by her vision. The mantle has fallen on our shoulders to carry forward this legacy.
With a silent prayer on our lips and the blessings of our founder, we continue on this journey. Value based holistic education continues to be our vision and dream and we will leave no stone unturned while on this mission.

Vidya Mandir Ind.PU College was established in the year 2001. The institution is the outcome of the infinite Grace & Blessings showered by the Supreme Lord. Located right opposite a temple, this temple of learning is always under the watchful eyes of the Lord and this is one of the main reasons for the success of the institution and the prosperity of everybody who is or has been a part of it.
Our motto – author image – True education is that which bestows liberation or mukthi. The college believes in educating students to be successful not only in their career but also in life by inculcating the five basic human values – Satya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema & Ahimsa.
